There was a staffing shuffle in December and I was moved to the Testing Dept. This had the added benefit of moving to the back room, where all the craic is. I got introduced to MS Raid and Test Studio, and began writing test cases using the knowledge I had gathered about our Mission Control product and WAP gateway compatibility.
I got a USRT award in Belfast for my Judo achievements earlier that year. Oh how my former training buddies laughed when they saw the shape of me...
Some of the staff went to Dublin for a weekend and had a great laugh. I was grateful for the chance to get my Christmas shopping done in a place that has more than 3 shops...
The staff Christmas night out was a laugh, but the following morning wasn't. Some of us had to rush back to 'firefight' for an important demo that noone had told us about.
I think I spent most of that month writing test cases. It's a bit of a blur up until the Christmas holidays.
